SWITCH AND SOCKET MECHANISMS
one way wide key switch
The one way wide key switch is the simplest type of switch in a lighting system. A one way wide key switch is only capable of switching one phase (L) on or off at one point. In fact, the one way wide key switch is used to control one lighting point from one location.
Whereas, a one way wide key two-way switch, which looks identical, is used to control a consumer (such as a lamp) from two separate locations.
In places where it is necessary to control a consumer (like a lamp) from more than two points (usually three or four), a cross (or intermediate) switch is placed between two two-way switches. The cross switch is also known as a “crossover” switch.
A one way wide key push-button switch (doorbell switch) is only active while the button is pressed and immediately returns to the off position when released.
The push-button switch is mostly used in bell circuits, relay control, or smart home systems.
One way wide key, two-way, cross, and push-button switches by Zem have identical appearances and only differ in their function. There is a wide variety of color options for the one way wide key simple covers in the Zem collection, which can be chosen according to the frame color of switches and sockets.
The one way wide key simple covers are designed in two different materials: plastic (white and black) and brass (gold, bronze, copper, white patina, and silver). Customization options are available for the final finish of these types of switches at Zem.
double one way narrow key switch
The double one-way switch consists of two independent single-pole switches within one mechanism, each capable of switching a separate circuit on or off independently. Double switches are used when there is a need to control two lighting sources either simultaneously or separately from a single location.
In the double two-way switch, each pole contains a two-way switching mechanism that allows control of two separate circuits from two different points. This is commonly used in spaces where two independent circuits need to be controlled from multiple locations — such as double hallways or partitioned rooms.
The double push-button switch includes two independent spring-loaded push-buttons within a single double-switch frame. Each button only connects the circuit while being pressed and returns immediately to the off position when released. This mechanism is used for controlling doorbells, relays, timers, or in smart home systems for sending momentary commands.
The double one-way, double two-way, and double push-button switches by Zem all have identical appearances but function differently. There is a wide variety of cover designs available for double one-way switches that can be matched with single one-way switch covers.
The covers for double one-way switches are also available in two material types: ABS plastic (white and black) and brass (bright gold , bright patina, copper, white patina, and bright chrome). ZEM also offers customization options for the final finish of these types of switches.
one way toggle switch
The one-way toggle switch functions the same as a standard one-way switch. One-way toggle switches can include mechanisms such as simple one-way, two-way, cross (intermediate), or push-button (momentary) types. This model of toggle switch consists of a toggle lever and a cover plate. The circuit is switched on or off by moving the toggle up or down.
Zem offers a wide variety of toggle designs and colors for its toggle switches, which can be customized to match the color of the switch cover and frame. The toggles are made of brass and are available in white, black, bright gold, bright patina, bright chrome, with both modern and classic styles.
The cover plate of the one-way toggle switch can be made of plastic (white or black) or brass (bright gold, bright patina, bright chrome, etc.). Customization options are available for this type of one-way toggle switch.
double one way toggle switch
The double one-way toggle switch operates similarly to a standard double one-way switch. The double one-way toggle switch also consists of two independent single-pole switches within one mechanism. It can be a simple double one-way toggle switch, a double two-way toggle switch, or a double push-button toggle switch.
Double one-way toggle switches include two toggles and one cover plate. The toggles are made of brass and come in white, black, bright gold, bright patina, and bright chrome colors, available in both modern and classic styles.
The cover plate of the double one-way toggle switch can be made of plastic (white or black) or brass (bright gold, bright patina, bright chrome, etc.). Customization options are available for this type of double one-way toggle switch.
one way, double one way, two way, intermediate rotary switch
The rotary switch is one of the most modern and exclusive switch models at ZEM. Rotary switches can be single-pole rotary, double-pole rotary, two-way rotary, rotary cross, or double two-way rotary switches. Each rotation activates one of the poles. The rotation can be clockwise or counterclockwise.
The rotary switch consists of a rotary knob and a cover plate connected to the mechanism. The rotary knob is made of brass and is available in silver, bright gold, bright patina, bright chrome, copper, and limited edition models with Swarovski crystals.
The cover plate of the rotary switch can be made of plastic (white or black) or brass (bright gold, bright chrome, bright patina, and others).
dimmer switch
The dimmer switch is one of the most advanced control devices in lighting systems, allowing the adjustment of the output light intensity by controlling the electrical power supplied to the load (usually a lamp). Unlike traditional switches that only have on/off functions, the dimmer enables the user to regulate the brightness level. This type of mechanism is commonly used in bedrooms or for chandeliers in living rooms.
GERMAN/SCHUKO SOCKET
The grounded SCHUKO socket is one of the most important safety components in building electrical systems, providing a higher level of protection against electric shock and current leakage by adding a grounding (earth) connection.
Each SCHUKO socket consists of a mechanism and a cover plate. The cover plates are available in plastic (white and black) or brass (bright gold, bronze, bright chrome, bright patina, etc.).
MULTIMEDIA SOCKET
Multimedia sockets at ZEM come in a wide variety to meet your building’s needs. These mechanisms can be chosen as single (one-gang) or double (two-gang) configurations depending on the user’s requirements.
These mechanisms include sockets for telephone, network, audio, HDMI, USB, and more. The cover plates for these mechanisms can be made of plastic (white and black) or brass (bright gold, bronze, bright chrome, bright patina, etc.).
Customization options are available for the finish of the cover plates on these mechanisms.
TV/Sat socket
The TV/Satellite socket is one of the essential mechanisms used in modern buildings. At ZEM, the TV and satellite mechanism is designed to allow connection to both TV and satellite cables within a single unit. Simultaneous connection is also available in custom models.
Each TV/Satellite mechanism consists of a main module and a cover plate. The cover plates can be made of plastic (white and black) or brass (bright gold, bright chrome, bronze, etc.).
